Finnokas (
finnokas.com) is a Finnish language learning toolkit built and operated by Joe, an independent developer based in the UK. It's a practice toolkit, not a course - it doesn't guarantee you'll learn anything. Think of it as a structured space to build your own study practice.
You need an account to use all features. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure. If you think your account has been compromised, let us know straight away.
Finnokas has a free tier and a paid Pro tier. The free tier has limits on words saved and grammar drill features. Pro unlocks higher limits. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled any time - access continues until the end of the billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial periods, but if something has gone genuinely wrong, get in touch and we'll be reasonable.
You agree not to:
- Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from Finnokas at scale
- Use Finnokas in any way that could harm the service or other users
- Share your account with others or resell access
- Upload or submit any content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Some features use AI for word enrichment, example sentences and similar content. AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate. Use it as practice material and check against other sources when it matters.
What you store in Finnokas - your word bank, study history, drill sessions - belongs to you. We don't sell it or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing
support@finnokas.com.
We aim to keep Finnokas available and working, but can't promise 100% uptime. We're a solo-built product and things occasionally break. We may update, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. If we ever shut down the service entirely, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.
Finnokas is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by UK law, we're not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service - including inaccurate AI-generated content, data loss, or service interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can't be excluded under UK law, such as fraud or personal injury caused by negligence.
We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use after that point means you accept the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
